In this keynote presentation at Display Week’s Business Conference, Dr. Eric Cheng, CEO of Tianma America, Inc., will examine key factors behind Tianma’s success in the automotive segment and outline the company’s ongoing dedication to automotive customers through continued investments in innovative technology and manufacturing capacity. Additionally, attendees will gain an overview of Tianma’s core automotive display technologies – from traditional a-Si and LTPS TFT-LCD to advanced AMOLED and emerging Micro-LED – illustrating how each is leveraged to address varying design and performance requirements in vehicles. Eric’s talk will underscore Tianma’s commitment to empowering the automotive industry with innovative, reliable display solutions that drive the future of smart cockpits.
The keynote will also illustrate the role of Generative AI in driving the display evolution that is occurring today in intelligent cars and smart cockpits, creating new scenarios for in-vehicle display applications. Addressing these scenarios, Tianma will provide insight into the ongoing evolution of the smart cockpit, including: Ultra-Wide HD Projection Displays; Ultra-Low Latency Mirrors; InvisiVue; Dynamic Flexible OLED Display; High-Definition Transparent Display; and Ultra-High Reliability Vehicle Exterior Display.
Eric will also speak to Tianma’s Carbon Neutrality Commitment, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality for operations and 100% renewable energy usage by 2050.

Speaker Biography:
Dr. Eric Cheng is the President and CEO of Tianma America, Inc. With over two decades of experience in the electro-optics industry, he has closely observed and contributed to the evolution of display technologies—from monochrome LCDs and TFT displays to advanced AMOLED and Micro-LEDs. Since 2008, he has led the Tianma America team, providing cutting-edge display solutions to medical, industrial, and automotive customers in the United States.
Dr. Cheng earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in 2001. He holds eight U.S. patents and has authored over 60 technical publications in LCD technologies, thin-film processes, and materials science.
