Job Description

Tianma America, Inc. (TMA) A leading provider of small to medium size display solutions to the Americas, utilizing cutting edge technologies from Tianma Microelectronics and Tianma Japan, Ltd. (TMJ), coupled with state-of-the-art manufacturing resources of the Tianma Group, TMA offers comprehensive range of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) products and associated technologies. Due to the fast growth of our business, we are in demand of the professional services a Quality Manager to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with various Tier 1 automotive customers to resolve and close any quality issues of Tianma’s LCD products during their use at customers’ development stage or manufacturing process.
  • Manage Tianma’s quality representatives in the North and South America regions, as well as Tianma’s quality engineering and program team for resolution of quality related defects for displays and modules in development and for mass production.
  • Attend customer quality reviews, present quality related documentations and conduct defect analyses through working with customers and Tianma’s development or factory engineers to create fishbone, pareto, and root cause reports;
  • Review status of Parts Per Million(PPM) charts, quality incidents and general quality performance;
  • Identify quality problems and areas of improvement with Tianma’s quality management and point to particular focus areas of improvement for each customer;
  • Take initiative directly with Tianma’s quality team to drive customer special failure modes to resolution and accurately transmit and report customer technical details of quality defects in automotive liquid crystal disply (LCD) products;
  • Manage and oversee quality control system performance through leading Tianma’s quality engineers in creating and implementing 8-Descipline reports, and taking a leadership role in quality to guide project development and quality engineering to ensure customer’s requirement are met; provide consolidated and detailed report of these information to customers and confer with sales
  • Review specifications of newly developed LCDs for quality related details and monitor the development of such new products to identify problems for mass productions through liaison with customer quality and development engineers on LCD requirements and with Tianma’s design group for solutions and timing for defect resolution by contributing form a quality perspective and tracking defects and resolution details for reporting as necessary to the customer;
  • Oversee and supervise LCD products quality defects rework at customers’ manufacturing plants; create and document LCD rework instructions and monitor customer or third party team rework process and procedure; and coordinate creation and delivery of special testers and /or other equipment necessary to carry out the planned rework;
  • Manage and direct Tianma’s customer quality representatives in Mexico and Brazil by monitoring and evaluating job performance of the quality representatives;
  • Visiting job-site in person to meet with the quality representative teams when necessary to ensure customer performance requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Electronic Engineering; equivalent foreign degree acceptable;
  • One-year experience in Quality Engineering or similar occupations;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft office software, Mintab, Excel Solver, Arena, Auto CAD and MS Project;
  • Familiar with Quality and Engineering tools including: Kanban, 5S, P-FMEA, D-FMEA, Control Plan, and other quality core tools;
  • Strong ability in problem analysis and troubleshooting;
  • Highly-motivated team player with ability to handle multi-tasks within deadlines
