Sr. Sales Manager - Automotive

 Summary:

The Sr. Sales Manager- Automotive is responsible for all aspects of the Company relationship and performance in the assigned accounts. Location: Troy, Michigan.

 Reporting:

The Sr. Sales Manager will report directly to the Sr. Sales Director Automotive.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all matters concerning the relationship of the assigned accounts.
  • Establish and reach sales objectives for the assigned Automotive accounts in-line with the Company automotive customer strategy.
  • Provide monthly and yearly sales forecasts.
  • Generate account growth in line with company expectations.
  • Cooperate closely and supervise the assigned inside sales, quality and FAE support.
  • Manage projects: Ensure all customer technical, quality and operations issues are resolved promptly.
  • Act as a liaison with the Company product development department to ensure all issues are resolved.
  • Be a customer advocate to ensure all customer requirements and right quality of service are met for the assigned customers.
  • Resolve all conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Increase revenues, profitability, and long-term sustainability of the assigned automotive accounts.
  • Monitor sales metrics.
  • Resolve all logistic and customer payment issues effectively.
  • Prepare annual automotive account budgets and monitor performance against the approved budgets.
  • Suggest Company actions to improve sales performance at assigned accounts.
  • Answer all customer inquiries on a timely manner.
  • Lead by example. Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices.
  • Prepare and present account plans as required.
  • Manage assigned automotive customer relationships at all levels.
  • Maintain a high level of LCD technical knowledge.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

 Required Skills:

  • Experience working as a technical sales account manager in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with active and passive liquid crystal displays.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to handle customers professionally during all interfaces.
  • Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office.

 Experience:

  • 5 plus years working as a technical sales account manager in the automotive industry.

 Education:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline.

 Work Status:

  • Full Time

 Travel:

  • When required, 10-25%
