Sr. Sales Manager - Automotive

 Summary:

The Sr. Sales Manager- Automotive is responsible for all aspects of the Company relationship and performance in the assigned accounts. Location: Troy, Michigan.

 Reporting:

The Sr. Sales Manager will report directly to the Sr. Sales Director Automotive.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all matters concerning the relationship of the assigned accounts.
  • Establish and reach sales objectives for the assigned Automotive accounts in-line with the Company automotive customer strategy.
  • Provide monthly and yearly sales forecasts.
  • Generate account growth in line with company expectations.
  • Cooperate closely and supervise the assigned inside sales, quality and FAE support.
  • Manage projects: Ensure all customer technical, quality and operations issues are resolved promptly.
  • Act as a liaison with the Company product development department to ensure all issues are resolved.
  • Be a customer advocate to ensure all customer requirements and right quality of service are met for the assigned customers.
  • Resolve all conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Increase revenues, profitability, and long-term sustainability of the assigned automotive accounts.
  • Monitor sales metrics.
  • Resolve all logistic and customer payment issues effectively.
  • Prepare annual automotive account budgets and monitor performance against the approved budgets.
  • Suggest Company actions to improve sales performance at assigned accounts.
  • Answer all customer inquiries on a timely manner.
  • Lead by example. Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices.
  • Prepare and present account plans as required.
  • Manage assigned automotive customer relationships at all levels.
  • Maintain a high level of LCD technical knowledge.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

 Required Skills:

  • Experience working as a technical sales account manager in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with active and passive liquid crystal displays.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to handle customers professionally during all interfaces.
  • Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office.

 Experience:

  • 5 plus years working as a technical sales account manager in the automotive industry.

 Education:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline.

 Work Status:

  • Full Time

 Travel:

  • When required, 10-25%

Field Applications Engineer (FAE) Manager - Automotive

 Summary:

The FAE Manager- Automotive is responsible for working with various Tier 1 and OEM customers to help address technical questions regarding new and existing product designs. The FAE Manager is directly responsible for technical relations with the assigned customer. Location: Troy, Michigan.

 Reporting:

The FAE Manager will report directly to the Sr. Sales Director Automotive.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for answering technical questions and issues at assigned automotive customer locations. Duties include general technical discussions, defining new product specifications, communicating customer requirements and specifications with the Company product development team, providing sample schedules or anything needed from project concept through end of life.
  • Lead internal and external teams in engineering and validation process.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and engineering feasibilities for LCD design purposes on customer inquiries, and lead specification discussions with customer and internal design team headquarters.
  • Introduce new products and technologies through industry exhibitions or customer visits.
  • Conduct product demonstrations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design and release components.
  • Responsible for product design and development from prototype phase to production.
  • Support vehicle builds and launches at customer prototype, pilot or production assembly plants.
  • Participate in post-test inspection reviews including component analysis.
  • Evaluate customer information/requirements and review for technical compliance.
  • Manage project timeline to achieve project milestones.
  • Provide technical support on all assigned customer technical issues.
  • Constantly improve technical customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Cooperate closely with the assigned account manager and quality manager.
  • Ensure all assigned customer technical issues are resolved promptly.
  • Lead by example. Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices.
  • Manage assigned automotive customer technical relationships at all levels.
  • Maintain a high level of LCD technical knowledge with goal of LCD subject matter expert.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

 Required Skills:

  • Experience working as a technical liaison in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with active and passive liquid crystal displays.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to handle customers professionally during all interfaces.
  • Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office.

 Desired Skills:

  • Ability to speak Mandarin.

 Experience:

  • 5 plus years working as a technical engineer or liaison in the automotive industry.

 Education:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline.

 Work Status:

  • Full Time

 Travel:

  • When required, 10-20%
